Running for the Warriors
While training for the Norfolk Freedom 1/2 Marathon, one runner in particular was inspired by the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The runner purchased and wore a WWP UnderArmor tech shirt for the event - and has worn one in every running event since - to show support. It made the runner feel good, but it wasn't enough. Consequently, Running for the Warriors was founded. To learn about upcoming events, visit: shawndmauldin.com/running-for-the-warriors
Running for the Warriors has a modest goal of raising $2,013 for each month in 2013, starting with the month of February - $22,143 for the year. All of this will go to support an amazing organization that helps thousands of injured warriors and their families. If we meet the goal, the runner will be running around giving high 5's. If we blow it out of the water, the runner will be ecstatic, jumping up and down, hooping and hollering, and doing a victory dance! Who wants to see a victory dance? :)
