Team Goodwater

Team Good Water was formed by a handful of folks who share a deep respect and admiration for the men and women who make incredible sacrifices for our freedom.  The team also has a deep affinity for the Eastern End of Long Island, where the concept of the Soldier Ride as a way to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project began.  The rides have grown into a critical component of the WWP, allowing soldiers to reach important milestones in their recovery as well.

The Wounded Warrior Project is one of the most highly regarded non-profit organizations dedicated to serving injured military servicemen and women.  What started as a volunteer group delivering backpacks of supplies to military hospitals has grown into an international support organization focused on aiding physical recovery, mental well-being, re-integration into civilian life, and job placement. They focus not only on the more obvious physical injuries, but also on the mental injuries caused by the trauma of war - which are more frequent and oftentimes neglected.

We invite you to open your hearts, and your wallets, to support the Wounded Warrior Project, and hope to see you on the ride on July 19th.
Random fact: Amagansett means "Place of Good Water" in Montaukett, the original Native Americans who settled the Eastern End of Long Island, and the inspiration for our team name.
