The Peter Mayhew Foundation
Hello my name is Tamyra Earehart. I am a 26 year veteran who was wounded during Enduring Freedom. I suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) during a mission. I could have been lost in the system without the ability to recall or get through the military “red tape”. I may have never received the care I needed. I cannot explain how lonely and afraid I was during the events that led up to my first contact with my Wounded Warrior case manager. I was without hope or a future. Thanks to the efforts of a WW case manager contacting me, telling me exactly what to do and continuously following up on me, I received the help I needed to get back into society. Now, I want to help make people aware and give hope to my fellow soldiers.
Your donations will go to help other injured service member returning from serving our country and prevent them from going through the excess trauma of not knowing where to turn during that incredibly disheartening period of having to accept their new limitations.
I am asking for your help, support, and or donations, in an effort to prevent some of the trauma suffered by men and women trying to regain a part of their independence as they return to civilian life.
I am now a board member for the Peter Mayhew Foundation. The one and only Chewbacca has dedicated efforts to promoting the awareness of the Wounded Warrior Project. Stop by his table at the conventions he attends and help with the Wounded Warrior Project.
Robert Luedke (Bob the Artist) has organized an annual live auction in Dallas. With his skills and the help of other artist's, authors, TV/movie celebrities, vendors and convention show promoters from all around the country, we can continue the efforts of the Wounded Warrior Project.
Due to the success of the Dallas Comic Con Auction in 2012, Robert Luedke and myself will again be auctioning off limited edition prints, original art work, graphic novels, children’s books, autographed photos, and signed memorabilia collected at other pulp culture/ comic conventions around the country. All proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project
In addition, plans are already being hatched to make the Dallas Live-Art/Auction event an annual part of the Dallas Comic Con! Hearing of our success artist, celebrities, and vendors are already contacting us to be involved! If you're an artist, author, movie/TV celebrity, or vendor and would like to participate by either, donating a piece of art, book, memorabilia, or being one of our live artists, or autograph signees...then contact my co-organizer Robert Luedke @ firstname.lastname@example.org,and we will add you to our lineup!
