Mycle Brandy, 4-time stroke and traumatic brain injury survivor, has walked across America 3 times and plans a 4th to raise awareness about stroke and traumatic brain injuries and for the Wounded Warrior Project. During his previous walks he visited scores of hospitals and was featured on numerous news broadcasts. In 2010, Mycle received a Letter of Congratulations from President and First Lady Obama after he completed his first walk across America. Mycle visited Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed Army Hospital after he completed his first walk in Washington DC. Upon completion of his second walk, San Diego 2 Seattle, Mycle received a Letter of Congratulations from Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn. Mycle served Thanksgiving dinner to Seattle’s Veterans the day after he completed the walk. Mycle completed his 3rd walk, Madawaska 2 Miami and was honored with a Proclamation from the Mayor and City Council proclaiming 2/14/13 Mycle Brandy Day in Miami.
Rockaway Beach 2 Rockaway Beach is Mycle’s current walk for the Wounded Warrior Project and he anticipates a completion on his 68th birthday, 2/14/19 in Rockaway Beach, New York. Mycle’s family has a long history of service from the Spanish/American War through the War in Afghanistan and it is Mycle’s greatest honor to walk for and raise donations for the Wounded Warrior Project!
